I've just sold the Octavia...

Featured Replies

It's a sad day... I've just sold my Octavia vRS :(

On the bright side, it was too my brother so I can drive it whenever I like :D

Anyway, I'm open to suggestions on my next car.

Diesel for good MPG and low tax costs etc (PD130?)

Mod-a-bility

Bigger than a supermini

£5k ish budget.

I'm thinking maybe a Bora, Golf GT TDI, A4, Passat or maybe as an outside bet a Superb?

Can anyone give me more inspiration though? I like the idea of an estate but I really am open to suggestions and ideas.

Thankyou :)

My boss has a 2003/4ish Audi A4. Has the same PD130 as mine, and its been mapped to 160 odd bhp. Even in that size car it still shifts, i was half expecting it to be a bit sluggish in such a heavy car. When i need more room for sprogs it`ll defo be on my short list.

Audi is a strong possibility. I'd love to stay VAG and so long as I could find one withless than a trillion miles on it I'd be very tempted.

I really want to stay away from the PD150 engined cars to be honest, they seem to have a reputation for eating clutches, cam lobes and intercoolers...

Thanks all :)

The Superb is a VERY good car. Big, but lots of kit and lovely to cruise about in!
