I need a new driverside rear door car for my 2003 VRS estate, I've been offered one for a hatch from a breakers and need to confirm that this is the same and will fit. On photos it would appear so. My local dealer were less than helpful, seeming to suggest I should buy the correct part through them at nearly £200 surprise surprise.......

This is to try and resolve an unopening door urgently needing sorting due to impending arrival of my second child.

Of course if anyone knows how to remove a door card without damaging it, sort a child locked door and fit the card as good as new I'm all ears. My local independant VW specialist wasn't sure how he would tackle it without damaging the card.

So does anyone have access to part numbers or just the knowledge up their sleeves.....

The partnumbers for the rear door cards are different for a hatch and estate.

buddy you can take them off without braking the door its easy undo the 2 screw in the handle then hold around the edge and pull hard it will only break a couple of plastic clips wich are 37p each from skoda

it really is easy you will have to pull hard but trust me did mine in about 10secs lol dont pull the handle grip around the edges
