$%&* POT HOLES!

Featured Replies

This morning I hit a pot hole doing about 25 mph on oldham road in manchester, the whole car rattled with the inpact and shortly afterwards I noticed my steering wheel was wobbling, deciding I was close to work and maybe it was the tracking I limped there only to find my front DS wheel flat as the pancakes I enjoyed last night :(

After trying to pump it up (with no luck) I removed it and took it to my local garage. They had a quick look and showed me what the problem was - a cut in the tyre wall (about cm long) totally ruining a perfectly good tyre!!!

F$%&ing pot holes!!! I've called the council who are sending me a claim form. but I'll be taking pics of the hole on my way home tonight.

The roads around here (manchester) are prob worse that baghdad!

That's to make the locals feel at home.

There was something on TV a few weeks ago about a pothole hotline to call up to get holes repaired. They actually got a pothole near me repaired to test if it worked. Should look up the number

You might be able to get the cost back from the Council.

There,s a great one on Grimshaw Lane Middleton, its like a huge crater in the rd, i go on the other side of the rd to avoid it. :'(

Hope the council pay up!!!!!

They fixed three on my route to work and now there are about fifteen more. Urinating into the wind is the phrase that springs to mind!

The potholes round Sheffield and Rotherham are ridiculous as well. Caught a couple not bust a tyre but sure it has knocked them out of alignment or unbalanced them slightly. Makes me so mad that we pay all this tax in petrol and road tax and end up with C**P for roads due to under investment for the last 10 years they all need resurfacing. I know we have had bad weather which has caused these potholes but its been made a million times worse by having rubbish roads with patches everywhere in the first place. Its worse than a third world country. Once again clobber the motorist.

There is a website called fixmystreet where you can report potholes and they send a report to the council for you; registered about twenty potholes the other day some of which have now been filled in although loads more have now appeared. Made sure I mentioned that cyclists could be chucked off due to them, lol which is probably why they were done. There is one road near by which is really dangerous have to drive really slow despite being a straight national speed limit road, have to try and get into the middle of the road to avoid everything.
