Fabia VRS induction upgrade

Featured Replies

Can anyone advise me please.

My Fabia VRS is running 170 bhp following a remap. I'm reasonably happy with the performance, but was considering improving the induction system. Two options currently in my mind are :

a. P160 intake and a pipercross or similar replacement flat panel filter, with possibly drilling holes in the bottom of the filter casing to further increase airflow. This worked well on my rover 420 turbo and my 220 coupe turbo.

b. Fitting a K and N or Venom induction system.

My concerns with the induction system is that it won't benefit from the forced air port that serves the current system.

Has anyone any thoughts please.

Thankyou

What's the point?

It's a diesel and already runs with an excess of air to fuel. If you put in a clean OEM air filter every 10k miles you'll be fine.

If you want to do something then a panel filter won't hurt as long as it's not excessivly oily as this will damage the MAF.

In terms of the induction kits, save your money and the tractor noises.

If you're going to do something, go for A.) and save the drilling.

Oh, and this is in the Octy I section :)

I would say b, what chance do you have of drilling holes in the correct place if you can't even post this topic in the right section lol

Go for A but without drilling holes, I'm happy with the results.
