Does anyone know if there's a spare grommet into the cockpit from the engine bay in a Fab vRS? I need to run some tubing from my intercooler pipe for a boost pressure gauge and don't want to drill into the body (for obvious reasons) !

try bonnet release cable gromit, should be able to push the tube through beside the cable

How easy is it to get to the bonnet release grommet from the cockpit side? Had a quick look at lunchtime, and looks like I'd have to dismantle the dash. Is there an easier way???

GRARRRR!!!

Had a look at getting the dashboard off, drivers side, AND IT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE! I've taken about 6/7 torx screws out, fuse panel, can holder, but there's still something holding it on!

Is there a way to get to the grommet, or feed the tubing through engine side, without dismantling the dash??

Also looked at the passenger side - if I take the glovebox out, there's a used grommet there and I can see it engine side, but the tube that's already in takes up a lot of space and I think it's too tight to fit boost tubing in. Can anyone help?!?

Incidentally, if anyone's interested, I've revised the cabling harness I've used to feed power to the gauges. If anyone's interested in how I've done it, I'll trade you info!

on the octy i feed the cable in through the pollen filter gromit with my amp cable and then sealed it up!

used power source from glovebox light!!

If you want to take down the trim on the driver side of the dash board and your struggling I would guess you havent removed the screw at the top.

Take of the trim at the base of the dash cluster (goes over the column), there is a torx screw behind there, then its justt he ones down the side, ones at the bottom and one going upwards on the left hand side (in line with the clutch pedal).

Incidentally, how will making this (small) mod affect my warranty? Considering I've drilled into a (new) intercooler pipe (but kept the original), and the other bits and pieces are fairly minor?

Hmmm...had a go at it today. Pulled the panel under the binnacle off which revealed two more torx screws. Undid them (along with 2 under the dash to the left, one in the centre, two on the right and one behind the fuse panel), which let the right side of the dash hang a bit further down, but still didn't release it fully.

However, when I was under there, I noticed a screw behind the clutch pedal and just above, with what looked like a rubber grommet next to it....anyone know what this is???
