Yes, I decided I needed a change from Czech Polo's and Golfs.

Nice cars. I enjoyed mine when I had it. Presume it's a TDI?

I like saabs, I used to have an old 900 turbo :) I blew it up though... I messed with the boost control too much, blew a hole through a piston! lol... (It was before electronic control of turbo's... a 1983 car IIRC)

Yeah, 150bhp Fiat engine. It is a completly different proposition to the skodas and even the golf I had. Quiet, refined, quick, a bit bland and bigger.

Just done 500 miles in it over the last two days and its just so nice. Its averaged 47 mpg too.

Need to sort some paintwork (hedge marks), lights (needs xenons...), fit the 9200 and clean the egr out and its sorted.

its a good engine..... the saab EGR valves are a direct replacement to mine, and loads cheaper! your has the 16v head (mine is 8 valve) and a bigger turbo.... they will map to circa 200 bhp :) its your turbo I want if I wanna map the punto to 200 bhp ;)

similar set up to the astra 888...

Looks like a good choice Decron, with a decent engine to boot :)
