2.0tdi PD 140bhp looking to upgrade to 200bhp+

Featured Replies

Hello Skodinians!

i might be best just leaving my car or not... im not sure. i fancy more power but want to keep my car.

My Car has the panel filter and the stage one remap, currently around 172bhp.

im looking into abit more power and come accross WWW.DERVDOCTOR.CO.UK

i found this little read:

2 litre PD140

Phase 1

Re-map and panel filter, this provides 170-180 bhp and 290 ft-lb of torque.

Optional Milltek system available for most PD140 cars.

Phase 2

Phase 2 addresses the weakness' of the standard engine, the standard turbocharger is the limiting factor on the PD140 engine.

So this is replaced with a Turbo Dynamics hybrid unit. This has a much improved flow rate and stronger bearings. The turbo has many "Special" modifications to the variable geometry system and the impellor shaft and wheels, to provide superb throttle response. This is coupled with a free flow exhaust system, usually Milltek. To provide up to 225 bhp.

so................

there was alot for the 1.9tdi but the 2.0tdi seems not as much info but theres enough to get a rough idea through google,

by reading other people who have the 2.0tdi engine like seat's and VW's few montion HYBRID Turbo with some massive gains.

One other Option is just a FMIC And Miltek Exhaust which can Give 20BHP

I need some decent advise and my budget is really tight.

I have come across discussions on other forums about this - have a look through these first, - there is an Audi forum, I will try and find a link

Have you tried lower break pressure injectors these give a considerable increase in performance. Then have it remapped to suit.

Somewhere like

will be able to give you some advice

Did you get this done in the end? If so, could you share your experiences on what the car is like since doing the upgrade? I have a 2.0 TDi Seat Altea and am looking to go down the same route.

Thanks.
