Hi all,

Hope you can help me.

I need the part number for the black bit of plastic that sits beneath the slam panel

its what the trumpet from the air intake clips into. It has 4 square holes in its edge

into which the 4 square tabs which are on the trumpet clip. 2 on the top, 2 on the side

and on mine at least, is held in place by a couple of torx screws.

When I removed mine I took down part number 600 805 971 F.

Skoda main dealer told me that the number I took down was meaningless, and despite my

(I think accurate) description proceeded to order me a pd130 trumpet, Handy. They are having

another go at ordering the right thing for me but I think the part number would eliminate any more

c*ck ups.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks mate... I dunno why the number was incomplete on my one... Thats all that was on it but it had been

modified by previous owner of the car. I'll ring dealer with the number right away.

Phoned Trans city skoda in walthamstow and gave that number and they say

it doesn't relate to anything.

Back to square 1.

Getting tired of the run around here. Just got off the phone to M1 seat in NW9.

Part number not recognised..... bah.

I didn't think such a run of the mill item would be such a pig to get hold of....

Time to give up and just drive around with a damaged car I suppose. :'(

The nice people at Grasmere have sorted me right out.

Gave them the same part number as I gave everybody else.

Difference being they found the part.

Apparently it's called an air sleeve.

Its on its way to me for a whopping £10.72 including delivery and vat.

If I hadn't been using works phone then I'd have spent more than that on calls today

just trying to get somebody to sell me one.
