Looking for a Fabia

Featured Replies

Hi there,

New here and am on the look out for a Fabia VRS - fuel economy and performance were the deciding factor :-)

Anyone know anything about this one?

Or anyone know of any decent ones for sale?

Cheers

Looks OK, unmolested apart from being lowered slightly, high mileage is why it's pretty cheap I'd guess. Don't know anything about the history I'm afraid.

Big Mikey,

You obviously have a Limited Edition VRS, what are the differences between the Ltd Edition and other VRS?

Cheers

leather seats and a funky blue paint job!

The cheaper than normal price is due to the high mileage and I would assume there will be several stone chips to the front end which is common for Fabias. The good news is it would be all Skoda S/H so mechanically it should be perfect. High mileage on these cars is not an issue, just have a look at the overall condition and decide if you like it.

One thing that does concern me is the fact that he has finance yet to be settled on the car, must be a way round that. I would pay off his finance myself and give the vendor the balance.

I'm with Soot1e on this one regarding the finance. Wouldn't go anywhere near it unless finance is sorted or as has been said, you pay the finance direct.

Personally I wouldn't go near it for that reason but if this issue wasn't present I can't see any problem as it looks tidy enough.

You have a PM regarding my 2006 VRS, which didnt sell on ebay last night - pics should still be available to see if you look for item number 130368691608 on ebay.

Sorry to interrupt thread but I'm also looking for a Fabia vRS. A 2007 model, with lowest mileage I can get. If anyone is selling please PM me.

I have discussed the finance with the seller and as others have suggested would pay finance company directly.

What kind of mileage have VRS engines clocked up?

What about modified ones?

Im currently doing about 3k miles a month so mileage would rack up pretty quickly.

Thanks for all the replies and advice so far...seems like a good friendly forum.

The trader I bought my PD100 Fabia from had seen a few VAG PD130-engined vehicles with over 200k on them, running just fine...

My old Fabia vrs had 132k on it when i got rid.

Was still on original clutch/dmf/turbo :)

Hey buddy - limited edition vRS enjoys race blue paint with red brake calipers (normal vRS was available in red, black, yellow and silver with green brake calipers), blue trimmed black leather (or pleather as I like to call it, as it's not made from the greatest quality leather - they must have found the oldest cows in Yugoslavia and chopped 'em up to make the seat covers I reckon). Leather seats also have the stitched vRS symbol and the LE number stamped (not stitched) into 'em! Normal vRS had grey and white cloth seats which some find a bugger to keep clean, but I kinda liked them. Um... what else? Oh yeah, it also comes with cruise control and 6 CD changer as standard. So there's not much in it to be fair. My old vRS had cruise, heated seats and xenons as optional extras and I do kinda miss the xenons especially.

Good luck with it buddy, the car looks nice, finance issues aside, but definitely go have a look and take it for a good test drive if you like it.
