Just ordered facelifted fab

Today? I don't think mass production is starting before the end of the month.

That was only what the dealer said, dont claim to have any insider info.

The dealers were originally only allowed to take orders from the beggining of next month. Due to the pre FL stopping production and the factory closing for tooling, the order book on the pre FL Fabia has closed. Meaning now the only pre FL Fabias you can buy are ones already in/on their way to the country.

Skoda UK have had to open the FL order book early due to demand. So yes you can order your FL Fabia ok, however, due to bringing the process forward so far, all the dealers are lagging behind in terms of no spec lists/brochures (correct from Monday 8th)

This literature will become available imminently though. I have seen a price list for the FL Fabia which includes 3 diesel engines (75bhp/85bhp/105bhp 1.6CR) and I believe 2 petrol engines (85bhp/105bhp 1.2TSI)

The following brochure is useful for pictures/swatch chart etc but not much else. Some of the listed powerplants are not coming to the UK along with things like the interiors and stereo systems being different.

I got a quote for a Facelift Fabia SE (mid-range) 75bhp 1.6CR @ £12,175 - £1,730 for VAT free offer.

So £10,445 for mid spec lowest output diesel. £349 for metallic paint (without VAT)

Final figure quoted = £10,749

(P.s check out rallye green!)

Mine is spec'd as followed

Fabia 1.2 Tsi 86

Candy White

Elegance Spec

Heated Seats

Headlight Washers

£10400 give or take a few quid.

Id be very interested to know how many pre FL estates were made, after all they came out late 2008 and now finished, so in years to come they will be a rare classic car

Im quite pleased that my Skoda will be a short lived variant, thats cool.

It's true though, you don't see that many around! The VRS estate will be the one to have i guess B)

Had a call from the dealer this evening with my build date. It's going to be bolted together in week 15 so hopefully i should see it sometime towards the middle of may.

Had a call from the dealer on Saturday to say i can pick the car up this Friday. It's increasingly looking like it'll be the following Wednesday due to the DVLA taking forever to take my plate of the current VRS.
