Hi... im new to the board and im thinking of re-mapping my vrs.. youve probably seen loads of threads like this but to save me time looking back at old ones, i thought it would be easier for me to make a new one lol. i live in wigan so i dont want to be driving miles and miles unless its gonna be really good performance wise. i just thought that you guys will know better than me :)

celtic tunning just did mine had it remaped then rolling roaded a week later got 178bhp and 285ft-lb very happy and thats on a 53reg with 148k on the clock done 2k since then and still all good well worth the £300 and they come to you :thumbup:

where in wigan are ya mate? im in wigan, marus bridge, drive a balck vrs, remapped 179bhp 340ft/lb torque, i recomend jabba totally. its only a couple hours drive. what colours your car?

lol dont be cruel. lad might go out and buy one! lol. honestly though i did have a dragon digi box on my old vrs and it was fine. my remap now though is a lot better.

My local Skoda dealer (Chequered Flag) offers the Diesel Performance Tuning box. It's £250-ish and it apparently gives an extra 40bhp over standard.

It just plugs into the MAF sensor and the car's loom (2 connections plus the battery for power) and it's done.

Lovely. Or not. Opinions on the internet are like rectums, everyone has one and quite often they stink.

Had a DPT box installed on my Octavia PD VRS - not impressed (maybe something to do with DPF and ECU constraints), so sold it and had a Bluefin remap - huge improvement. IMO there is no contest.

im from abram, got a black one too haha, whats the difference from when it was standard?
