decided as its a lovely day will give the car a little swim

any recomendations on what i can buy to use? cheers

Meguiars Gold Class is a nice shampoo and you get a good foam up with it. Then a detailing spray and a good towel for drying. Try and get a cleaning mitt rather than a sponge, I like the Turtlewax Microfibre one (got lots of green tassley bits all over it). Two bucket method too is a good habit. One bucket with the soapy water, the other bucket with clean water. Soap up the mitt in the soapy bucket, wash part of car, rinse off in clean water bucket. Then back in the soapy bucket again to soap up the mitt again and repeat.

Suggestion without aggression as follows. LOL

Nearest pier end, ensure your wearing swimming trunks to cover modesty and any embarrasment, leaving water's edge, with car in water. --LOL

Bucket wise i wouldnt worry to much about going for fancy buckets i would just use any standard b&q bucket

if your planning on waxing the car i would go with dodojuice wax everytime

Zymol auto bathe is also a very good shampoo and can be purchased for about £6 in halfrauds. Sold in smaller quantities though but worth a shot. As for wax, R222 do a carnuba wax for about £25 which has fantastic results for the price. Dodojuice is good but a little pricey but it depends how into your car you are :)

I use ZipWax, two bucket cleaning method and a wash mitt on the bodywork followed by a chamois to dry. Always brings it up nice.

It's all a matter of opinion tbh, get out there and find what suits your car / what you think gives the best results yourself :)

Be warned, this method can work out very expensive :D
