Sorry, my fault

Apart from the obvious cleaning, TP (for your motor not Lady P's immaculate example...) is the repositioning of the oil filler cap. Do I win?! emoticon-0100-smile.gif

 oh and slightly different style of cover.

We collected our Yeti from the dealer today (1.2 SE) and it doesn't have any under bonnet insulation fitted. However the 1.8TSI in the showroom did.

I assume the insulation panel for the bonnet is available to order from Skoda?

Does anyone know the part(s) required for those who may want to retro-fit the insulation to their 1.2tsi`s?

Just a theory but does anyone think that the under bonnet insulation could be to do with heat retention and not noise? Diesels take longer to warm up and so they all have the insulation. The 1.2 and 1.8 TSI engines do not seem to come with insulation in most cases. Could it be that those 1.2 / 1.8s with the insulation are for Scandinavian / colder markets? Got a feeling that I might be talking drivel now......

I can quite confidently say that the purpose is noise dampening.

No bonnet insulation or protective film on my factory fresh 1.2 S. To be honest, the engine is barely audible unless you give it some beans and even then it is not intrusive....
