I picked up my Octavia Vrs (silver) a couple of weeks ago - just in time for the good weather. :(

Housebound today I have been reading threads on this excellent site. trying to avoid daft questions.

But - could do with some advice.

rightly or wrongly had the car Supagarded ( half price deal swung it).

I would like to add polish to protect through winter, add shine and enhance the silver paintwork.

dealer recommended Autoglym polish then coat of Aglym gloss finish.

no problem I have some in the garage but i would like to try something different.

On the Meguiars site it suggests gold class liquid wax.-- Any views on this ?

Also is there anything by Swissol suitable to top Supagard ?

I didn't go for the Supaguard when it was offered but I would have thought that anything you've paid

i have been leaning towards meguiars.

As for wheels they are indeed the worst to clean of all the cars I have owned with the exception of a wire wheeled MGB GT.
