Need advice on 2001 Fabia Combi problems

Featured Replies

Made a start on fixing a few things on my Fabia Combi Elegance today. One of which was the rear washer. Checked all the pipework starting from the engine bay and found it had come apart at nearly every join. I've managed to reconnect all of them apart from the jet nozzle itself in the 3rd brake light. Only thing is. I'm not sure if how to remove the brake light to get to the washer pipe behind. The boot also has the little spoiler fitted.

Does the brake light just pop out or do I need to remove the inner boot lining as well ?

Also. Has anyone had problems with their boot release ? Mine will work from the remote and from the leaver in the car but it will not work via the release button between the number plate lights.

Also got a problem with the engine only running on 3 cylinders when using Autogas/LPG but its fine when I switch over to unleaded. Think I need to increase the mixture on the Autogas. Probably underfueling.

Got to fit 2 droplinks and ARB bushes as well soon so I'm planning on setting a full day aside to try and get everything sorted.

Anyone help me about the 3rd brake light removal ???

Have tried using the search but cant find anything that helps.

According to Haynes - remove all inner trim panels from the tailgate, (they will need a good pull), then you should see 2 screws (early models) or 2 plastic rivets that squeeze together to release the light.

Thanks for that. I'll do it at the same time as sorting the boot release out :)
