Malicious?

Featured Replies

Whilst washing the fabia i noticed this

DSCF4495.jpg

now personally i cant work out how it got there other than someone doing it,

thing is i dont know how long its been in there, luckily im going to the tyre shop tomo to get springs fitted, but i can see a new tyre being the only way to fix it as its not in the thread therefore its probably not able to be bunged???

Hmm... could be a joke from a jealous muppet...

Green wheels could bring out the green eyed monster in people...

I think you are way out of luck with getting that repaired. emoticon-0101-sadsmile.gif My family have had more than their fair share of similar incidents - which our local tyre supplier/repairer puts down to the lack of council road sweeping compared with past years, together with the number of tradesmen, e.g. double glazing fitters - who leave screws behind on paths and roads when they go about their business. In our experience the main culprits seem to be self-tapping screws rather than nails.

could think of a few easier ways to inflict intentional damage...and as its on the sidewall new tyre needed.

As said unfortuantly unrepairable due to closeness to the side wall.

I had one tyre that deflated in abour 5 minutes when I parked up after a 40 mile drive home. Took it off to see why and find a 2" gash on the inner wall which I have no idea as to how it occured. Incredibly lucky I didn.t have a blowout.

Do not let the thought of it being malicious cause you stress

It is most definately, accidental, picked up from the kerb

As mentioned earlier, tradesmen dropping self tappers, I have seen quite a few within our company vehicles

So again do not stress that someone is doing it to you

I don't understand?

You drove over a screw, it happens. If some one was out to vandalise I think they would take a less subtle approach!

Yeah, it's not malicious.

With my old car, I had TWO instances with nails in the sidewall. similar to that. Both on the same side of the car, both on the rear. On one of the occaisions the tyre was new, and un-repairable - gay!

Fortunately they were only 15's, and could get T1R's fitted and blanaced for £40 a pop

I have had 3 instances where nails/screws have found a way to enter tyre outside tread area.

Each time a new tyre has had to be fitted.

Changing name to Jonah. LOL

And when the lazy sods get back to the yard (more specificly the one I work at!!) and clean out their vans, which involves sweeping straight out

the back onto the car park and only picking up big bits

Someones laziness contributing to your mis-fortune I would guess
