Seat alloys on Fabia?

Featured Replies

Hey,

I've been after some alloys for a while now and came across some 16" Seat Leon Cupra Sport alloys for a good price.

But would it be a straight fit?

Alloys in question

Thanks :D

Yes, but the tyres look like too big to me - probably 205/55 R16. You'll need 205/45s

As above, tyres will be mahooosive!

I have exactly the same alloys but as yet i have not got round to fitting them with correct tyres and putting on the car.

I did a bit of research and was told they will fit but still need to try them.

What i am worried about is that if i go for 312mm brake upgrade will they still fit.

I will try and fit them on the car this w/e if i get a chance and let you know if they stick out or in as they ET is different from standard vrs alloys.

ET will be similar to the vRS alloys, just that tyre size may rub a bit...

They should also fit over 312mm brakes iirc...

Personally , I don't think they will suit a Fabia, Can you get someone to Photoshop them on your Car .. It would be a shame to buy the Wheels, Shell out on Tyres & then for you not to like them, When you could of spent the same amount on a set of wheels that do suit the Car & for them to be shod in the correct size rubber ..

just Food For thought ..

I did think the tyres looked a bit big.

Shame really, but ah well..

I wouldn't have thought they'd look that bad.

But they would be going onto a somewhat old, banged up 1.4; so I'm not intending to spend a fortune.

I just need something to replace the horrible halfords 'alloy look' hubs that are on there now :(:(

Thanks for your answers though :p

if your near to the seller , why dont ya see if he will let your try them on the car first to see if ya like them, .... £80 is a good price for them would be a shame to pass them up ,

I bought mine in great condition, if i dont like the final look when thy are on the car then i will use them for trackdays lol.

I know they don't look great on my old car, but it proves they do fit! :giggle:

Whilst with a few rattle cans you can make them look awesome ;)

This is how the alloys started:

As you can see, 100% of the lip is scuffed, and there's marks across the center of every spoke.

The worst of the set was probably this wheel

Quote from my mother and step dad, "you'll never 'fix' that" and "sandpaper wont be enough"

Flattened back as much as possible, and a fair amount of filler used:
