Iwas working at the Knockhill gig at the weekend. It's a great circuit to watch cars bounce about a it's so short and there are some dramatics vies. I nipped out and took a few snaps of the Ginetta G50/55s while I was there

Any pics of the Mini's?

I have a few from the first days practice (I could only nip out the scanner and shoot over the fence next to the compound :( )

#2 Mikey Falconer is a mate of mine!

Spends a bit too much time on his roof,emoticon-0102-bigsmile.gif

But a good lad!

I think they stuck some of Jason Platos advertising upside down after his big multiple roll accident.......just in case it happened again. Perhaps they should sticker up the underside too :D

Seemed to be lots of SIS people there that's all. Looks like TB will be in the stewards office at the next round too which can only be a good thing.

I do work for SiS occasionally, but it is as a freelancer. TB was a little out of order wasn't he. Still, I love the new kerbs at the circuit, if only I could have wandered down and taken a few pictures of the cars on 2 wheels and a 45 degrees!!!

Here is a snap (or 3) that gives you some idea of the height of the kerb. I am not sure if it works, but the second snap links to my flickr account and the higher res' pictures are on there if you want to see the kerbs better (and also a great mkI Escort or 2 :) )

I hope Tom Boardman gets a penalty after that punt off of Plato in race 3 this weekend at Knockhill.

Just saw the rerun of the Knockhill meet and Plato does not blame Boardman but more the performance difference in the naturally aspirated Chevy (Daewoo) compared to the turbo diesel, which is also old technology of course as he was hit not on the brakes but still on the throttle.

All the cars should be turbo petrols else there is clearly is too much of a performance difference, particularly on a tight track like Knockhill.

Touring cars should be relevant to road cars (so why is the Cruze there at all as they most have sold barely a few thousand in Britain and a never likely to if there current quality etc remains where it is unlike Hyundai/Kia).

Thankfully it looks like it will sort itself out soon and the cars will be all turbo petrol in the Next Generation Touring Car.

Pity the guys having to run on Dunlops, it is scary running on two\thirds of that power never mind 300hp with Sports Maxx. PS3 sorted that out.

Might pop along to Rockingham to see the last or so running of the SEAT Leon TDI before consigned to the history books.

The Chevy World Touring Cars are NGTC so I don't see why JP has to do without. He may not blame Boardman but I bet he punts him out at the next round at the first chance he gets....I know I would.

So Gordon won...it was a valiant attempt by MG but there's always next year. Hopefully without the tidy one as he's been useless as a team mate.

Congrats to Flash. Nice poke in the eye for spoilt brat Neal :D

Shame Plato didn't have a chance in the wet however I'm impressed by the fact that he went in to yesterdays meet with a chance of winning the title, no mean feat in that dog of a car.

Good to see Frank Wrathall win his first race too, good on him!

Quite a few teams have drivers that don't perform equally, but I put that down to the difference between professional racing drivers and guys that pay to drive, which support the team financially.

There are plenty of guys lower down the field that run cars as good as guys near the top. MG and Redstone racing are two that spring to mind. Yesterday the difference between the good and paying drivers in some teams was up to 2 seconds per lap which is quite a lot.

Honda are one of the few teams to have only professional racers.

Was nice to see Gordon win, I think he has deserved it this year.

If Matt and Gordon had been equal on points coming into the last round I think team orders could have come into play as Matt's Dad owns the team.

Looking forward to next year. :)
