Sunshades on FL Octavia

Featured Replies

Do the Skoda oem ones allow them to be easily removed or lifted for 'unshaded' use of the windows? Is the price for a pair?

Price is for the pair and they can be removed easily, though you would need to remove them while stationary and stow them in the boot or leave at home.

PS - I'm talking about the official Skoda ones.

Double check with the dealer, i guess Scout and Vrs estate have same windows?

So I take it the part number for the estate will be suitable for my new FL vRS Estate?

These are on page 13 of the Octavia Accessories brochure, downloadable from the SUK website here.

The brochure shows pictures of the FL Octavias throughout, so presumably they'll fit.

If they look a bit like tints, I assume they are easy enough for back seat passengers to see through without problem?

I have managed to wangle a 20% discount on the product and then to pay for postage, this may also be beter if we have a member in the mannsfield area who could collect them from the company and then we can pay for postage.

they want a minimum of 15 orders, I MAY be able to push that a bit more if i can get the order higher

Hi Ryan that is a good discount, I would like to buy some of these how do we get a group buy going, I want one set for a 2006 Octy estate with you I assume that makes two????

did you ever establish how the clips fix to the car? think I may order the official ones soon

Hi there just got a set of these for my Octavia estate, fitted today in literally 5 minutes; the clips for the rear door windows slide under the rubbers the top support is at an odd angle but the two other side ones fit very well. I can scan in thie instructions if anyone is interested. The sides are clipped too using a different clip that lodges behind the headlining. The rear, split, blind is wedged in, sorry probably the wrong terminology, and held with two clips at the top, these sit just under the plastic moulding. I was a little dubious about the join in the rear window but this gives a handy reference point for reversing, line up the curb etc. Anyway these are very good items dispatched quickly and high quality, there is also a free storage bag to store the blinds on our normal dreary summer days......if i had know of these a few years ago I wouldn't have spent £300 getting the Honda done.

I bought the official ones last week, sounds like the same sort of deal. 5 metal clips that clip to the metal door frame under the rubber seal, then you wedge the shade in until it pops into place. Can still see out, albeit a little darker, plus has the bonus that you can still open and close the read windows.

I asked the same question but it looks as if Ryan didn't get enough interest in time for the delivery of his new car, IMHO these are as good as the OEM ones and at £100 less it is a bargain, ebay is slightly cheaper than the uvshades website plus if you're signed up to ebay points you get a liitle cash back too.
