Anybody ever bought/fitted one of these?

Featured Replies

That is very similar to the Forge item, although the forge item has flat turret plates ...

The Forge one's can foul the airbox & engine cover slightly sometimes causing a chatter / vibration.

One advantage over the Seat Ibiza one, is that you can just remove the end of the strut strut brace to get at the Air filter Etc, Where you would have to unbolt the whole brace Etc. Still not to much of a Task ..

If it is model specific then it should be a bolt on part & line up with the existing bolt holes for the top of the shock absorber ..

Okay, thanks for that :).

Does anybody know if the price of the seat sport one is still at around £54!?

I got my Seat Sport strut brace for £48

I was told 2 weeks ago by Seat in Colchester, Essex that it is £64 inc vat!

I've had the Seat strutbrace fitted for around three years now and have never had to do more than remove the bolts at one end, (same end as the air filter), to open the air filter housing when cleaning my filter.

Yeah.... There's plenty enough give in it to easily remove the top of the air filter housing. I got a cheap torque wrench off the bay when i got the strut brace so it's not an issue tightening the bolts back correctly either.

Respray it skoda green like i did and it looks the dogs under the bonnet too. ;)

Cheers

Dave.
