our yeti given to somebody else

Featured Replies

Now is the time to do all the heavy transporting of rubbish to the tip. Get those cement bags and breeze blocks thrown into the car and try offroading up a mountain (obviously you might not be able to do all of those as you are almost due).

I hope it doesn't take the shine off your new car though

TBH I think you have received a good and fair settlement. You might end up paying £25 to transfer your insurance but then you are getting 12 weeks free motoring. It sounds to me like the spanner monkey screwed the wrong reg plates to the wrong cars without x-checking with VIN plates. This as been compounded by red tape partially due to you being on scrappage, which is probably also why the dealer as probably decided not to compensate you with a monetary differance. At the end of the day he will probably be able to sell the yeti off the forecourt for a few hundred under list (that they would give as discount against new in anycase) with it being a new and in demand model.

The salesman wouldn’t normally have anything to do with checking the Vin and Reg where correctly aligned. Well not unless they were very very professional.

well done - an honourable settlement that is fair all round. We all make mistakes, and at the end of the day all you want is a new car.

Hopefully the stress hasn't affected your "expectation" and that the babe is fit and well - and that he/she enjoys being carried in a Yeti, too!

Yes, well done. Make the most of your loan car and best wishes for safe delivery of your baby and in due course your Yeti.

Pleased to hear that things have been 'amicably' sorted, niknak. Try to keep smiling! emoticon-0144-nod.gif

And please let us know when both arrive, with photos.

Best of luck.

Hey niknak

So sad to hear your unfortunate news.

We have a January 2010 2.0 TDI 170 bhp 4WD Steel Grey Metallic with just over 500 miles on the clock that we could offer to you through your dealer if your dealer could provide us with a suitable 4WD Superb. and of course compensation to you and the right exchange price for us.

Vic

Hello Vic,

Why do you want to swap to a Superb? Don't you like your Yeti?

Look up the 'snow chain' thread, 'CR v PD' thread, 'auto option for the school run thread' etc etc. You may get his snow drift. It's the Euopeans' fault - and global warming.... emoticon-0114-dull.gif

Just picked up on this thread  ....Dealer should be shot :thumbdown:

Sincerely turst that all is in your favour

At least you won't be driven to the hospital in 'your' Yeti. My breakfast and the car got to know each other pretty well with my first labour. Then there's the prospect of waters breaking (my 2nd)...A lady near us had her baby IN the car. Do you think Skoda would give a free Yeti to the first baby born in one?! Perhaps not one to try!?!

Good luck with the new arrival. Once you've had the little one this whole stressful saga will be a distant memory.

...especially if you had the leather seats... :o :( I agree Charlie not one to try! You'd have to quickly sort that vari seating out :giggle:

Echo Charlies good wishes and the sentiments with Freshacre, Aero, Llanigraham and Jst :) and hope to see photos of the new 2 arrivals in the future! :sun:

All best wishes

Lady Penelope
