Diesel Tuning Boxes.

Featured Replies

Hi,

had my Fabia Vrs a couple of weeks now and think its great with good power but I am wanting just that bit more and also to make the torque a bit smoother throughout the rev range.

I have been looking at a couple of these boxes one of which is the Tunit box that is quite expensive, the other one is the Dragon performance box. So basically I was wondering if any of you guys have them on your car and some honest opinions?

Thanks, Andy.

Also if anyone is getting rid of one then please give me a pm.

Don't get any! Come and have a proper remap done on Monday at the bargain price of £220.. we can also offer a discount on STS units too, see my signature for details emoticon-0148-yes.gif

You really would be better spending your money on a reputable Remap ..

I know they can seem expensive compared to a Tuning Box ... But there are reasons behind that..

Generally a tiuning box just fools the ecu & does not take into account other engine parameters Etc....

I'll go further and say that a tuning box can only ever get feedback from the MAF sensor so it can't influence the turbo, just the amount of diesel added. That means it will almost certainly be very, very, smokey and it can't be as efficient as a remap.

If Ben (Shark90) is willing to do you a map for £220 then you won't get a decent tuning box for that, and if take the STS option then you can do it yourself at home.

get a remap shark_90 is good for remaps

I maybe selling mine soon as i'm getting a custom remap in a month or so.

Its one of the Dragon boxes. Does give a good bit more poke - make 20-30bhp??

Would sell for about £80??

I couldnt afford the remap prices at the time, but now I can, so i'll move on!
