I cancelled sky a few months back and have been using the receiver as a freesat box. Don't miss sky at all. I've just got back from a long weekend away before which I switched the box and most other electrical off at the wall.

Since turning it back on I'm now getting the "wrong" regions TV i.e. London rather than Wales which is annoying when it comes to watching the news/weather etc. On the plus side C4 is where it should be rather than S4C.

And I've lost C5 completely. Not sure if this is good or not........? :wonder: :wonder: :wonder:

Slip the old card back in for two mins, should set it back to Wales.

Then don't unplug it and it will hold the settings

I'm till using the original card.............

C5 requires an active card (or a freesatfromsky) card to work, iirc.

When I went Sky + I kept my old box for other room, But found out to get Freesat fully I had to purchase a Freesat Card for £10

Thanks for the responses guys. This appears to have fixed it's self whilst I've been at work. I have no idea why but it's working now and that's good enough for me!

It may need a few hours in there then, I know it loses the setting if unplugged for few days lol
