Hello, new member Bruce Aitken here. Fabia VRS driver.Thinking of changing tyre size from 205/45/16 to a slightly taller profile as these are very vulnerable to potholes. wrecked one tyre and bent a rim recently and I bet I'm not alone. I do quite a lot of sprint driving in an AX GT and in track conditions I find 45 profile tyres very suitable. However I think for road use they are frankly a bit silly. I think I'll go for 205/50/16, so only2.5cm increase in diameter. Any comments?

I could be wrong but i wouldn't change the profile size, i think it will mess with your rolling radius. Have a look at this Tyre Calculator.
