I believe you can buy a bag that fits in the gap. It is in the acessories brochure.

I've decided, i want a door for this gap :giggle::thumbup:

It's called the Large Boot Storage Bag and the part number is:- DMA 600 001

alternatively, tesco do a grey felt tool bag / organiser which is held in place with velcro and it's only a few quid. i got one of these, and it fits quite well and is big enough to hold a 5ltr container of oil and a few tools :)

I picked one of these up yesterday, dealer let me have it for less than half price as it had been sat in storage for a while (though you wouldn't know it - it's sealed in a plastic bag!).

I also got another hook for the right side of the boot to match the one on the left, 30 second job to install.

I did this...

I like it..........

So do I, looks a good idea. Except I have a multichanger there.

....and on the other side you have......a dirty great big hole? emoticon-0148-yes.gif

I find that the Ipod is a lot more useful than the 6-cd changer was B)

I use the other side to hide stuff. (Compressor, torch, blanket etc..)

CD's are so..........last year! emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

I have in the spare room a Technics Linear Tracking Turntable SL10 which can run on 12V. It has a built in head amp and outputs to line level (RIAA corrected). Trouble is it would be a right pain pulling over, getting out and changing the record over emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

lol ...... i was thinking a beer fridge might be good, but apparently it's illegal to drink and drive, or so i was told by that helpful policeman who stopped me for drifting down the chilled aisles in sainsburys on my sons electric toy car while consuming a sixpack of tennents super. emoticon-0108-speechless.gif

lol tennants super, i dunno how the jakies can stomach the stuff :o don't really like tennants at the best of times either tho :-/

So have most people removed their multichangers then? A Fridge would be great, but I can't see the battery lasting very long.

yeah im looking a fridge / cool box type thing for going into that space.

All FL Octy's with Bolero get the multichanger in the dash, so we get the dirty great big hole in the boot ;)

These guys have gone for more of an high capacity ice box than a fridge......

Whereas this is the non customised deep freeze version......

I like that, is it running stright off the HU or did you stick an amp in that space as well?

I have a new VRS and has the Bolero unit, I noticed in my old Octavia Elegance I had previously it had the 6 CD changer in the boot but was hidden by a flap covered in the same material as the boot lining with 2 twisting locks at the top. I was wondering if you can get the flap to fit the gap to hold what ever you desire behind it?

But the Velcro bag idea sounds good, cheap and cheaful, maybe get someone to ebroider it with VRs on it lol  .

I have decided it is cold as I have just been out and checked in the boot (and scared the bejesus out of the neighbour when the alarm beeped whilst she was putting the rubbish out...)

There doesn't appear to be any holes in the FL for the twisty lock mechanism described here but it does look like if you could get hold of one of those flaps/doors it would fit as there's an outline shape which I assume is there for the door and putting a couple of holes for the lock shouldn't prove to be too much of a challenge...
