Names Tim, and I have just bought a Brand New Octavia TDi CR vRS Estate...awaiting delivery.

Sooooo looking forward to it...

And whilst i'm here, I thought I'd ask...does this new engine require a break in drive? Like 200 Miles or so at under a particular rev or something?

Any help would be great.

Welcome from another vRS cr170 owner.....got mine 6 days ago.

Handbook does not give much guidance apart from don't run at more than 75% for first 1000k.

I will use common sense & be v gentle until the temptation to extend it gets too much & even then try to be sensiible.

I don't believe those that say diesels need thrashed from the word go to perform.

Really pleased with my car in every respect....a convert from Audi.
