Hand held diagnostics scanner

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a 2006 Octavia VRS, petrol, and have on a couple of occasions had the engine warning light come on, which means taking time off work to have the code read and reset.

I would like to buy a diagnostics scanner for reading and resetting fault codes.

The missus has a 2003 Nissan Micra 1.4, petrol.

It would be great if I could find a scanner that can read/reset codes for both mine and the missuses, but I'm not sure what I'm looking for.

I have found the following

http://www.amazon.co.uk/U281-OBD-2-CAN-BUS-SCANNER-SKODA/dp/B001C9V89A/ref=pd_cp_ce_3

which looks good for my car, but can anyone tell me if it will work on the micra, and if not point me in the right direction.

Cheers

Ihave one of these for my octy tdi and it also works on my missus 1.0 ltr micra . They are worth the money as you can read the codes and crossmatch them in the manual supplied and also turn off the engine light etc. HTH.
