Featured Replies

Hello all well ivan has just fitted the cupra intake to the car bit the silly billy forgot to plug the maf wire back in doh lol so we had a car in limp mode lol. ah well one trip to dealer later to clear the error and i must say it may be a placebo but the car actually feels much better and seems to rev easier and seems to pull to the line alot better:) . think its more likely a placebo but he it feels good.

also went for a spin in ivans oh my god it flies :D so much power its great :D im tempted oh so tempted :D

also on another not the techie at the dealer said if i fitted the cruise arm he would enable it in the ecu for me for free :)

You would also need to wire the cruise arm in remember.

Looking forward to getting my intake now and seeing what it does on mine.

i thought the wiring was already there ??

Nope, you have to make a loom and wire it in to the correct places.

  • Author

i thought it was all there in the furby but you had to make a loom for the 1.8t

No, trust me after fitting cruise in mine I know whats there and what is'nt.

There is'nt any cruise wiring to the switch in any Skoda vehicle, some have a part loom to a bulkhead but none to the switch.

ah ok no worries then :) well i could fit that too i suppose he seemed to think all parts were able to be bought over the counter

Why did he take the MAF wire out????

The wiring loom isnt, you have to make that up yourself.

Why did he take the MAF wire out????

So he could get to the screw on the air pipe, just made it a bit easier for him, not really required.

When I looked at his latest "how to" I did wonder if he put the wire back on as it wasn't shown

Doh Remembered when the dash flashed up like a christmas tree LOL.

Dogmaul I wasn't dangerous there was no danger of the car blowing up :D

BTW I took the MAF off so I could get to the screw as it is alot easier that way IMHO.

BTW Ross I need to speak to you about the pipe size with reference to the turbo and exhaust.

I don't know one simple mistake that did no harm and your reputation gets tainted :finger::D

BTW Dogmaul in my defense you didn't spot it either

Ivan, send me a PM or you got my MSN and phone number mate.
