On the bottom of the window wiper stalk there is a button press it to get menu 2. Press it again to goto menu 1. If you hold it down when in Menu 1 or 2 it will reset it.

Press the reset button on the underside of the RH column stalk briefly to toggle between Trip 1 and Trip 2. If you press and hold the button for at least one second it resets both trip memories.

Beaten again. MUST learn to type faster.

You won't find any mention of the trip memory in the Octavia Owner's Manual index. Instead you are expected to know that you can find it described in the section about the multifunction display.
