ECU firmware version?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if and how VCDS may read ECU firmware version on Fabia?

This is what VCDS 908.2 reads for my 2007 Fabia vRS during a scan of the engine ECU. I have edited the VIN and SKZ readings.

Address 01: Engine Labels: 038-906-019-ASZ.lbl

Part No: 038 906 019 NJ

Component: 1,9l R4 EDC G000SG 7331

Coding: 00102

Shop #: WSC 13765

TMBWU46Y87******* SKZ7Z0F*******

No fault code found.

Readiness: 0 0 0 0 0

The part number and manufacturers software revision (in this case 7331) can be used to identify the revision in most cases.

Which engine is it and why do you need to know the firmware revision?

How can I make the ECU firmware for Fabia 1.2 12v AZQ 47KW?

Define "make", what do you want to do exactly?

Define "make", what do you want to do exactly?

I have a Fabia 1.2 12v AZQ.

Two errors still occur after each approx. 300 km (after reset).

17811 - EGR System: Regulation Deviation

16804 - Catalyst System, Bank 1: Efficiency Below Threshold

Only once come out in place of 17811

the 17511 Oxygen (Lambda)Sensor Heating: B1 S1: Performance too Low

p1103-35-10--Intermitent.

I checked all the components as service manual (EGR, B1 S1, B1 S2, CAT e.g. channel 073,028,034,046,043) and all tests are OK.

I got advice to do a firmware ECU?

What do you advise?

Post a complete Auto-Scan please.

I have the latest software to ECU.

I checked again and the error is only 17811, but after 100 kms the check engine lights and the 16804 error reappears.

What do you think, to change the EGR or what to do?

I think Sebastian wanted to know what parts were checked or replaced, but the 074 test passing in a shop environment might not be conclusive. If the exhaust system is restricted and causing excessive back-pressure (perhaps related to the P0420 code) while driving or the EGR is sticking internally at times that may explain the fault codes.

Did you run Output tests? The freeze frame data in Generic OBD-II may be helpful if the vehicle is complaint:

Hello again,

Although it's been a while since I have posted here and come back with a question on this subject.

I recently used to clean the 2 products: Wynn's Formula Gold treatment and Wynn's Dry Fuel .

The result of using these products is that now there is only one error

16804 - Catalyst System, Bank 1: Efficiency Below Threshold

We also determined that CAT, lambda probe and EGR are okay.

In addition we have checked if the fuel pump provides enough fuel and I find that probably is defective because it does not provides enough fuel and pressure is low.

Now I have 2 questions:

The first is if you really need to change the fuel pump and the second is if this deficiency can lead to this error?

Thanks,

Cris
