It seems to me the simple solution is a lower hook/ball component from Westfalia. At the same time, they could add the required connection to the break-away wire that is also required by Law, but not provided by the hitch.

I thought so too, a simple soulution

I have talked to Monoflex in Sweden.(http://www.monoflex.nu/en/start)

They have been in contact with Westfalia.

Westfalia says they can not provide a lower towbar.

The dimensions of the towbar is according Skoda guidelines.

When a towbar is built and approved it can´t be changed without new approval. emoticon-0101-sadsmile.gif

My Westfalia detachable has a connection for the breakaway wire on left hand side of "receiver" when viewed from rear.(UK spec ?). Still however waiting for the panel to cover the cut- out. GB

Make sure your dealer also orders the inside section of the cut out panel, I have to show my dealer this on their parts screen, because they didn't look properly.

It will be in the dealer for 1 day, since the panel inside section is held on with glue, and needs to 'cure'

Also my Wesfalia towbar doesn't have a hole for the breakaway wire, where is yours ?

My loop is on left hand side.

Thanks for info on panel fitting.

The Pacific blue is nice - thanks for the picture.

Hit on a new issue though - the roof rails on the yeti would only clear my garage door by just over a cm! Would need to take the aerial off! Beginning to think i'd be better going for a facelifted vRS and keeping some money in my pocket! We'll see.

There is a picture about of a Dutch Yeti with a small arial

Dealer mentioned a shorter aerial is available - to be honest I never listen to the radio so would maybe just remove it.

Will need to see if the dealer will lend me a Yeti to try in the garage though as it is going to be tight for height.
