Ours does a 7 mile round trip daily but its got a remap and a performance exhaust and it always seems to have three error codes come up on it.

Think they might not be the DPF itself, but due to the increased flow throught the bigger bore pipe that the car has got now. Might just need a DPF delete I think!

It would be interesting to know if there is anyone in the South East that can do it actually. Our Superb (09 plate) needs it done - the other half is so fed up with it might be sold if we can't get it done!

Hi can any one help.I am buying a octavia vrs tdi 2007 model and i phoned custom code about having the dpf removed and remap and they want £815 for the job is there anyone out there who can do the job cheaper.

many thanks peter

Yes, SAVI is an independent VAG specialist. He did mine last year and although there were about 4 attempts to get the files right, the car is fine now and goes like stink. £425 all in. Tel 01274551644. The issue with the files was some kind of lock on the Seimens management system but all is well now. The software guy does not use "cracked" software. It is kosher kit.

18 months is not long enough for the probelm to arise. You may also be in lower gear therefore revving higher than someone doing a longer run so you will be regenerating it.

the best way is to keep the dpf shell on.make sure it is opened from the side that is not visible.get a proper company to do the remap after the removal.many claim they can but many will fail.if you can do the removal yourself expect between £250-£300 for the map.

you will not be disappionted.it should go like stink.with no dpf faults to worry about either.best upgrade you can make.

Having just viewed this post i must add i had the DPF removed and engine remapped on a Peugeot 407 2.0 HDI a couple of years ago. Biggest mistake ever if you ask me, the car did run smoother and quicker but boy did she smoke !!! In the end i got rid of it because of the smoke.
