Spec and price minor changes

Featured Replies

First of all hello to the forum members. I have been lurking with interest for a while but my SM build date is now only a couple of weeks away - hopefully, so I now feel empowered to join in. I dont know if I am developing an inferiority complex already but do most posts come from Elegance owners? anyway here's a post from a humble SE prospective owner (with a spare wheel though)

Whilst waiting for delivery, all I have had to look at is the January issue of the sales leaflet that i picked up from my local disinterested dealer. Ordered through a broker in the end. In the post today i got the April leaflet that I ordered from SUK a couple of months ago.

I have noticed a few subtle changes that may be of interest

Spec

E now gets locking wheel nuts

SE now gets Aux socket for mp3 players

1.2 DSG CO2 goes down from 165 to 149

Factory options

Spare steel wheel now has Spacesaver description added

Minor price differences eg rear mudflaps down by a whopping 43p

ps

Also noticed that the SUK finance interest rate has gone up on the website from 3.1 to 5.6%

theres also different otr prices for some models yet the rrp appears to be the same - curious

Welcome comrade. Do not feel inferior; I drive a humble 1.2TSI 'S' model and enjoy the version recommended by all of the magazines ;)

Interesting to hear that they have added locking wheel nuts to the E model when it has no alloy wheels?????

The locking wheel nuts will be to stop all those with just a can of foam in the boot from pinching them as a spare!

Welcome, all SM owners are equal and I miss the DSG out of my old OCTY 2. Look forward to your pics....

:giggle: I wouldn't expect such behaviour from fellow Yeti owners!

I've just bought the raised floor (floor, jack, wheelbrace, spare wheel screw, storage "pods") and spare wheel at a total cost of just over £230! :S

Welcome to the forum DD. I'm awaiting delivery too, hopefully only a couple of weeks to go now for me. For your info and interest I downloaded the Yeti Owners Manual and radio manual on pdf files, have a google search these docs will keep you going. There are also loads of info links in the Yeti forum posts.

SE now gets Aux socket for mp3 players

First welcome.

Just a query. My '59 SE was already fitted with a stereo input socket (inside the Jumbo armrest!!!) and connected through the Aux on the Bolero. Is this a new socket? MPI?

Welcome comrade.

Welcome to the fold. With reference to the percieved inferiority complex of having an SE I think it was George Orwell who penned the quote

"All people are equal but some people are more equal than others."

;)

Jesting aside it's a superfine wagon your about to lay yer hands on

Scunjee. I thought the quote from Orwells Animal Farm was "all animals are equal but some are more equal than others"
