Looking good :thumbup::).

Just a quick question..how have you run the cable into the engine bay? and also for the power?

Thanks

the power is wired up to the ignition so it lights up all the time but im gonna look at wiring it to the lights so it only comes on when you switch the lights on :thumbup:

as for the wiring its threw a big grommet under the scuttle panel then fed out near the dump valve and into a t piece into the fuel pressure regulator :thumbup:

no probs mate :thumbup:

You really want a grommet where that pipe/cable (dunno which) goes through as the vibration from the car will cut through it eventually. Obviously if it's wiring then it could be a fire hazard.

i have one to fit as i noticed when i changed the vacuum pipe to red that it would require 1 :thumbup:

Looks good (or will be when finished). If you haven't already, I'd suggest putting some sealant around your tube where it comes through the big flexible gromit so you don't get rain water sitting in the gromit moulding and finding it's way inside!

what are you using to polish it, a sand blaster lol

nope. its only had a wire brush as its filthy and all the lumps n bumps are'nt smoothed out yet,

grommet fitted :giggle::thumbup:

When I fitted my boost gauge pipe i used a hole that was already there on the right side of the bulkhead that is under the main black wiring loom cover. You have to take the glove box out to get to the hole, but as it had a rubber grommet there i decided it was the best option.

Blimey I used a electric drill on mine and then wet and dry going from course to fine and then alloy polish. You must be strong.

Cheers for the comments :thumbup:

I've part smoothed my inlet with an orbital sander then wet n dry.

I think si is a bit to keen to get the angle grinder out lol

Nice. I fancy painting my rocker cover and inlet black :)

If I remove the rocker cover will I need to replace the gasket? What needs to come off to change it?

yes you will not expensive though rob just a handful of 10mm nuts and off it comes.

Cool :) Never removed a rocker cover before :)

I'm still working up the courage to have a go at fitting the phenolic gasket :D
