Full service at skoda

Featured Replies

Im booking my car in at skoda for a full service (it hasnt been serviced in 2 years now due to some confusion in the service book. i have a few little nagleing problems like a coolent leek from the bottle and fan switch. I was just wondering how much on average am i looking at for a full service at a skoda dealership.

Im taking it to savilles garage kidiminster if anyone has been there before!

Depending on what should have been done the somewhere between £150 and £300 - more likely the higher end.

I enquired about this just before I bought my vRS, and was quoted £150 for a full service from Hortons. Obviously if you've got stuff that needs fixing, then you've got dealer parts + labour charges on top of that too.

ill give them a ring and book it in 2moro and make sure i have a courtosy car haha :giggle:

do it yourself or go to a reputable private garage!!

at the end of the day its a 9 year old 1.4

doesnt exactly need a glowing full skoda service history, most of the mechanics if you can use that to describe them at a dealers are onions! well the ones ive delt with are

id much rather do the easy stuff myself (service etc) as i know whats going in! and the harder bits i take it to my mechanic friend who is part of the ford wrc team, or was anyways :)

I have just had a 40k service including brake fluid change and end of warranty checks, alleged replacement of EGR valve (though I'm not sure they have done that as it still stutters at 1800 rpm) and MOT at Alex Lawrie here in Liverpool for the princely sum of £313. Not looking forward to next year - it's probably gonna need new tyres, brakes and cambelt is a certainty.

well its got a previous full skoda service history so is nice to keep it up, im taking it to the dealers as they are the only ones who can sort out my central locking ect plus i trust this dealers as i know the family who owns it through other dealings. ive been quoted £120 for the complete full service and another 100-250 to fix all the problems (about 5 in total) with the car including oil in cylyinder 4 of spark plug, coolant leek from fan switch and bottle, air con regas, water ****ing on my mates feet trough the blowers the other nite in the pooring rain (funny story :giggle: ) and of course the central locking. i dont think thats too bad looking at what i recon will be £500 ish for parts labour and servicing for all that!
