JOM Coilovers/Whiteline RARB

Featured Replies

Looking for a little advice.

I'm planning on buying the JOM Plus coilover kit and Whiteline 24mm rear ARB for my mk1 vRS

I've done a little searching but can't find anything specific regarding any issues that I need to bear in mind.

I'm planning on lowering the front by around 25mm and the rear 30-35mm on the coilovers and adding the ARB at the same time. Is there any other area which will need attention whilst fitting or are there any generic issues that lowering like this can lead to?

Also, I've searched but can't find the part numbers for the Auddi TT bushes which seem popular if anyone can point me in the right direction

Cheers

Craig

Please don't! I know these things are taking the MKIVs scene by storm, but they're almost certain to be a big fat pile of fail on the vRS, just like all the other cheap kits that aren't specifically designed with the vRS in mind.

the jom plus or jom redline kit is for the vrs. the only jom kit that isnt is the cheap blueline kit.

This is the kit specifically designed for the vRS

So, what else do I need to know then? :p

Cheers for all the helpful input so far.......... err.

So, what else do I actually need to do/know about fitting the above items?????

FYI, the JOM's are not the cheapy £200 jobbies and I have read very good reviews of the build quality and quality of ride.

Had no idea there were that many options that were vRS approved. I stand corrected.

That's really put the cat amongst the pigeons for my own decision making. If you can get coilovers for £315 it's a wonder everybody doesn't do it :o

Hadn't thought of that. Will OE ones do or are there uprated ones available?

Cheers

just ordinary standard top mounts and bearings will be fine mate

As mentioned it's a good time to replace the top mounts and bearings and also the rear bump stops.

Cheers Damian. I'll be buying the lot from you so I hope you can sort me out a deal ;)

Also noticed you list the JOM FARB as well so I'd be taking one of those as well

I'm sure we'll manage something.

The JOM ARBs don't fit the VRS I'm afraid though.
