Only two Yetis seen.

Featured Replies

This past weekend I went camping in north Wales to go mountain biking on the Marin trail and do some Kayaking. 684 miles was driven in total and I saw only two Yetis! My first Aqua blue parked at a house in Wales (can't remember which town) and a black one near Reading going the opposite way on the way back yesterday. Sigh. I was hoping to see far more in the mountains of Wales...

And to top that I have only ever seen 2 other Yetis on the road over and above the ones I have seen at the Frankfurt motorshow and at the dealers.

Interesting - I just drove way north of Inverness and back over last weekend - and the only YETI I saw was in the village I ended up in, and I knew that one was there as he's a contributor to the threads on Briskoda Yeti.

And mine is an Aqua Blue in mid-Wales, but it would have been on the road and not parked up in a town. The only towns you might see it in are Builth Wells and Brecon.

I have yet to see another YETI in the wild, so to speak.

Well I recorded my journey from Telford services on my iPhone. So if anyone lives on that route with an Aqua Blue Yeti - parked on the north side of the road next to a double storey house - I saw it!

Yes interestingly I have just driven from Somerset to Sunderland and back, stopping off at various rip off services, and have yet to see a Yeti !?

Almost as elusive as the real thing it seems, but someone must be hiding them somewhere.

Ah the beauty (or intrusion?!) of Google Streetview. I found the house. [ModEdit] Edited to remove details of individuals address[mod edit]It is this one with the pebble drive and no car[/url] in Llangollen on the A5. That is where the Aqua Yeti was parked.

The Wife and I have been Yeti spotting since we ordered ours back in January. I've seen more Audi R8's than I have Yeti's on the road!

We've also seen two pre production Bentley Mulsanne's (neither anywhere near Crewe) and a new not yet launched Nissan Micra (with all the badges taped over).

Even a trip to the Czech Republic only netted 3!

Not been to Tibet..................

Missed that one!! I was in Llangollen on Sunday. Took the dog up to the Ponderosa cafe - her first hour plus trip in the Yeti. She passed with flying colours :)

It is an app called MotionX-GPS. I can't remember if it was free or not but I think I went for a paid for one - but even so it was cheap if memory serves. I use it to record my cycling to work and back and can thus keep track of my varying speeds and averages over time. It uses a LOT of battery power though, so best on short trips or in a car and plugged in to the charger. You can also set up to five email addresses to be emailed with your trip and the last photo you took as well as Facebook. So when I hit the Share button my parents each get an email with my whereabouts and the last picture taken and all the trip details go to Facebook as a status update. If you click on the blue line in the link I sent you will see all the information it recorded and what you will see posted to Facebook. I love it!

Finally spotted a monster in the wild. It was a handsome Muscovado specimen near Hunston roudabout at about 13:45 and again in Pagham around 15:30.

I'm hoping to see a few more soon!

I saw a Muscovada one on the road from Warwick towards Hatton last Wednesday, my second seen on the road so far

Good stuff, I've been through Hunston lots of times but not for many years, had friends in Sidlesham

I´ve spotted only 3 Yetis in Stockholm/Sweden. Perhaps there will be another next week....with sunroof..after 3 months...maybe...maybe...

Well I was in the Loire valley at a friend's house this past week and over 979 miles of driving saw only ONE Yeti! emoticon-0106-crying.gif

About 15km from Boulogne in the roadworks a Yorkshire registered Yeti (for those that don't know it will be a UK plate starting with a Y) came from the north. Aqua blue, pulling a caravan and lots of bikes on a rack between the Yeti and the caravan. Oh how I had wished that 979 miles was put on my new Yeti instead of the A2!

Now seen a third one, a bluey gray mettalic going towards Harrogate from leeds yesterday evening

There is an aqua one in Llangollen on a driveway I've seen it a coupla times. The muscovado spot near Warwick may have been me.

I've had the yeti a week now and done 1100 miles already so someones bound to spot me at some point lol
