Had my Fabia vRS in on Wednesday for a cambelt and 50,000 mile service. £311.10. Pretty good i thought. Thanks to Thomson and Potter Skoda, Burrelton, Coupar Angus, by Dundee. Excellent dealer, friendly, and really know what they are talking about.

Anyone in this part of Scotland should give them a try.

Not bad from the dealers, I paid £250 for service and cambelt, sourced the parts myself and got my local mechanic to do the work. Get very cheap labour as I point so much work his way

Yep. Was actually £311.48. Great price. Get my taxi looked after there too so maybe they gave me an especially good deal, but that was the price.

Excellent price!! Was that all the tensioners changed at the same time?

Yeah, full kit, all mount bolts etc.

I thought it was normally around the 70k mark or goes on years, whatever comes first?

Due at 80,000 miles or 4 years.

autodata 2007 says 70k or 4years which ever first.

i just done my cambelt and waterpump today on fabia vrs. its just hit 60k so thought best be safe.

Dude! perfect timing. Mine has just ticked over 4yrs so I'm getting the cambelt done next month and T&P are only about 20 miles away. I'll give them a bell for a price. Cheers! Wouldn't go near Norman fairweathers. Bought plenty cars from them but wouldn't trust the service dept. as far as i could throw them. They have a bad rep. I talk to plenty other taxi drivers who agree. Thomson and Potter gave me an exact price over the phone.
