Hi all,

I am looking for a new car, and not sure what i fancy! I have got roughly £4k to spend on something.

Would prefer diesel,

would prefer 5 door,

want it to have a bit of poke when i put my foot down for a overtake on country lanes,

dont want silly high miles, upto say 80k max.

What would you all recommend???

Fabia TDi, if your lucky you could find a Fabia vRS for a little over £4k

Another Octavia?

fabia vrs or a 1.9tdi 100bhp

Citroen C4 1,6 or 2,0 HDI

You can get an 05 plate for about £3-4k in good condition.

My mate is after a car with the same requirements as you. You may get a Golf but will probably have 80k+ on the clock.

I'd be inclined to have a look at a Focus - plenty of them for the money.

I'd whack those criteria into autotrader, and see what pops out.

Theres an awful lot of choice that matches your needs. Im quite supprised just how new and low mileage some of the cars in the list are!
