Bluetooth and multiple phones?

Featured Replies

I have a VRS on order with bluetooth, bolero and MFSW

The car will be driven by both myself and my girlfriend, can we "program" both phones to the car and the system recognise who is in the car and connect to the correct phone?

I understand this wouldnt work if we were both in the car with phones on at the same time but would it work on girlfriends phone on weekdays and my phone on weekends and evenings?

Thanks for any help from anyone who has tried this.

Yes, I have a Nokia bluetooth car kit in mine this takes upto 5 phones. It will only work with 1 handset at a time though.

You can pair two phones concurrently with the factory kit, and it will use whichever one it can find at the time the car is started. This can lead to confusion if you park outside your house though, as it may connect to the other phone inside the house first and not your own. However as soon as you drive away it will switch to the handset that it can connect to.

Thanks for that. Does anyone know if the skoda kit works the same?

Hello,

Does anyone know if the bolero radio connects with AEG x500 dual sim (it connects but after a minute the connection fails; It's impossible until now to charge the phone list)? Do someone have a list with compatible mobiles?

Thank you.

What Bluetooth module do you have in the car?

The GSM II module uses the Handsfree bluetooth profile and works with most phones

The GSM III module requires that your phone supports the rSAP bluetooth profile, so even if your phone does support that I suspect it will only work on one SIM as rSAP essentially means that the car is the phone and it uses the SIM via bluetooth thereby disabling the phone.

I would be very surprised if any dual sim phone actually supports the rSAP profile because of this.
