Delivery Times TSI DSG

Featured Replies

Just had a call from the dealer with a build date. The order was submitted 26/04 (week 18) and have just been told that it is sheduled to build week 24 with delivery around week 27. Very pleased with this as I was expecting it to be about another 3-4 weeks later. At the time of order my dealer said the factory was looking to step up manufacture of the TSI engine as demand was so high, maybe they did?

Exciting Stuff! I ordered a TSI DSG SE in corrida red on the 7th may. Rang my dealer up today to add a spare wheel to the order and was told build week 23 with delivery a couple of weeks later. Very speedy if it happens!

Carrs Skoda in Cornwall have a Fabia DSG parked outside already (along with loads of other facelift Fabs) so they're coming through pretty quick already.

Hope your right about delivery...mines still on the docks at Emdon and although released to the ship, they dont seem to be in a rush to get it to Grimsby for me..

The car is now built just awaiting notification it is on its way. I'm not entirely sure what the final spec will be with the appalling lack of accuracy on Skoda's website :wonder: Will it have HHC? Will it have rear discs? What other details are wrong?

Think there will be quite a few people waiting to see what the lucky dip bag has seen be fitted :S

Well whatever she comes with or without still be a great motor. Hope you get a speedy delivery to the UK and on to the dealer :)

On count down to the end of September here; fingers X :wonder:

I ordered my car yesterday, due to the options it is a factory order, I was told 10 - 12 weeks delivery (1st - 15 September) I rang today to confirm something and thought as the order had now been placed with the factory, that they would have a build date. I was told to contact them in August when they should be able to give a build date. I was advised it would be more likely the end of September 14 weeks?!? We shall have to wait & see. My problem is the Passat must go back on 26th August so I will have no transport until the Fabia arrives :wonder:

Believe the Skoda factories have a summer shut down; last 3 weeks of July.

Oh forgot to say I was given late Sept for expected delivery; order placed on the 11th

We ordered mid-May and so far have been told to expect mid-September, but there is usually a drop of a couple of weeks as the order progresses so hopefully 1st Sep! But who knows!

Bang on time! The build went ahead during week 24 as forecast and the car arrived at the dealer today, week 26 and will be ready for collection next week. The only irritating thing is I can't go and collect it until Wednesday, or Saturday after that. I don't want to wait another week but Wednesday is the 30th and that means my first months tax will be June and essentially wasted. I suppose as the first year cost is zero I'm wasting one twelfth of nothing. On the other hand, providing the dealer isn't expecting the tax disc (it wasn't discussed during the deal) on my trade in that will be worth an extra month. All in all, chuffed to bits :D

Called into my dealers on Friday to see if they had a build date yet. Was a little disappointed to be told a build date has not been allocated yet. I naively thought once the order had been placed, a build date would be given :( So I'm no further forward as to when my car will arrive. Any advice or info would be appreciated.

10 weeks from date of order is 1st Sept, 12 weeks is 15th September, 14 weeks is 29th September!

Hi,

we placed an order for a 1.2TSI (85) Elegance hatch with options on the 11th June (end of WK23). Given a provisional build week of WK34 (end of August) by the dealer last week, which ties in with their delivery estimate of late September.

Hey, this happened when I got my Fabia, the car actually came with 12 months and 1 week tax, so I didn't get penalised. Ask your dealer, I'm sure it's a pretty standard thing for cars delivered in the last week of the month.
