For all Octavia owners - urgent

Featured Replies

Briskoda will soon need to be renamed brifabia. Posts concerning the Octavia are hardly getting any responses, will thread after thread of Fabia stuff dominates the board. Come on become active again, keep the board balanced.

does seem to be an increase in the Fabia boyz recently... guess this means the fabia is getting more popular with the chavs, thus keeping the octavia more of a Q car.... i see that as a good thing ;)

it is afterall the "true" vRS...

William, i don't see it as a problem tbh.

note it's "Briskoda" not BriOctavia or anything.

It's a Skoda forum.

We're all equal (though some are more equal than others....... :P )

Ours smells of wet dog this morning.

Lovely. My vRS smelt of decay a few weeks ago. My wife had put a half eaten chicken sandwich under her seat. Needless to say by the time it started to smell, it was not pleasant at all.

I think I'll stick with the wet dog.

A friend spilt a pint of milk in his vectra and it stank for months.

mine has the hint of vanilla and mango about it... that halfrauds air freshener has been in for 3 weeks now and still smells brand new... mind the head aches have subsided so it must be loosing potency...

Octavia owners dont need to keep posting to satisfy our ego, we just quietly smile to ourselves about the wisdom of our choice.

Indeed, just I get a bit board reading nothing but Fabia posts. Have a look figures like 9 viewing the Fabia Forum with only 1 or 2 for both Octy forums combined are the norm now :(

knew someone that spilt a strwberry milkshake in a car once, that was terrible, still he got to go everywhere on his own for a while... ;)

Forums evolve William, 'tis no big deal.

I use the view 24-hr posts option to trawl through posts rather than looking in individual forums. It makes for a much more interesting range of reading. :)

Ditto.

Or, i use the New posts option.

I'm a new posts man myself.

It's a pain catching up if you go away though.

You can always spot the 4x4 owners.... :)

Agreed. :D

Surely if it were to be renamed BrisFabia then perhaps BrisDiesel would be better ;) Might attract some tractor drivers then :p

A problem for the Furbites is that there's very little Fabia vRS-specific documentation. So as a new batch of Fabia vRSes arrive and get handed over, their owners can only turn Briskoda for information (I hope Skoda UK is listening...).

Since joining Briskoda in the summer, I've noticed several cycles of activity like this, and I think we're in a peak of Fabia activity now. It'll pass, and I dare say when the new Octavia vRS comes out, the pendulum will swing the other way.

I think it's probably because the Octavia vRS is yesterday's news, and the Fabia vRS is the new kid on the block (in Skoda terms).

Also, the run-up to Christmas is a busy time for taxi drivers, so they probably don't have so much time to log in...

Very good!

I agree with bryan though, when the new Octy VRS comes out, I think we'll see the balance shift a little. It's all good! :D

By the "different" tastes in colour choice or by having a boot full of assorted kiddies junk?:D

Careful now, you'll upset the WRC owners, and they're really elitist!
