Should a revo'd fabia vrs be quicker than a standard octavia Vrs?

From what others have said, I would expect it to be similar. Cars are about similar weights and similar power so it's all down to the gearing. I'd be very surprised if he "blew you away", but may just have the edge at the top end...... :)

On Saturday mine was stuck in 180 mode grrrrrrrr forgot; how annoyed. But anyway I could not make any realy gains behind a revo's fabia down the short straights; thats 3rd red line before braking.

Braking of course I made up alot of car lengths, but true hand on heart straight line I was not really making musch in roads, 180 v 180 I would not expect to though, whic hwas when I began to remember mine was not in the right program...

Also since I have filter + miltek in answer to your question, yes since they give about 10bhp all in, so 190 to 180 ;) A longer straight however might change things.

As would a little rain ;)

Indeed... or a little snow :D

I'd expect the shove of torque, grip permitting, to give the fab an edge, but the acceleration loss on the gearchange would level it again, and the wider power band of a petrol to pull the octy ahead....

Of course remapped versus remapped... well, that would be different.

Fabia *slightly* faster to about 110-120 octy will then pull away.

Anyone for a drag race? ;)

I think that was me you were behind at one point Colin before you switched to slicks. I was in a Silver Fabia VRs, Revod and green panel filter. Last time on the rollers indicated 174bhp on a warm day so 180 V 190 would have been about right last Sunday at Anglesey in the cold wind.

Just got me wondering a bit this. How come your Octy wasn't really pulling away from me at Angelsey Colin? Shadowed you for about 4 laps..about 100 yds behind..in my alledged 105 bhp AX...before you sort of ...went off for a 'breather' ;)

Looks like Lossie to me, or could be the Leuchars looking east on the Southerly taxiway or maybe Leeming or.............. oh bugger I dunno - never was much cop at this detective stuff. How about a pop quiz on it? One stab apiece and Goochie can spill the beans if anyone gets it right?

Right, I'll go for Lossie, looking southwest on the northerly taxiway, towards 12 Sqn.

(Got me fire extinguisher out - ready to be shot down in flames!)

Come on lads. There's got to be a spotter or 2 out there that knows this.
