Hi guys, recently bought a petrol Vrs, I must say I am very impressed. Anyway, am giving it a proper service just for peace of mind, one question, where is the fuel filter located? I have looked around the engine bay but I can't see it, i'm presuming its near the tank but I just thought I would ask.

No idea, someone on here may be able to tell you, failing that the Haynes manual for the platform sharing Golf should point you in the right direction.

It's inside like an oversized Coke can on the LHS middle of the engine bay, loadsa tubes coming off it - on my diesel... dunno if it's the same in a petrol car - I'm not the worlds most technically minded when it comes to cars!

On the petrol car, you will see it if you get down on your belly and look about a foot or two in front of the rear right wheel.
