Picked up the Octy yesterday :D

First impressions:

It's rapid  Third gear in particular is awesome! As Mondeo man discovered on the Dunblane bypass yesterday :P

Boot is huge

Xenons are feckin powerful :)

So if you're in the Stirling/Dunblane area and you see a grinning lunatic in a SK54 reg Octy, give me a wave

not bothering to run it in first then ??

I'm taking it relatively easy for the first 1000 miles - trying to keep it under 5000 rpm and avoiding full throttle where possible. :(

I tend to be a fairly mechanically sympathetic driver anyway :)

Never took it over the ton yesterday :D:D:D

Weather yesterday here was -4C with freezing fog. Ideal day to pick up a 180bhp, 150 mph car :mad:

It's the effortless surge of power available at almost any speed in 3rd gear that impresses the most

Off to play :D:D

2nd gear has to be my personnal fave. Masses of power and good for about 80mph (once its run in!)

God your car must sound like a strangled moose by the time you get to 80mph in 2nd.

not since the re-map, induction kit and full miltek exhaust it doesnt!

was going to say mine is standard (apart from the jabba induction kit+ DV) but only gets to 70 in 2nd..

matchmaker - i wasnt trying to say you were ragging the car, just wanted to make you aware of the running in period required... its good though isnt it? :D

i think 3rd is my favourite too atm...

Mine clips the limiter at about 77 mph. Pulls all the way up there though!
