Mk 1 Mods form Standard

Featured Replies

Right then guys,

Im sure you get asked this ALL the time and most probably are sick of hearing it!

BUT... im gunna ask anyways.

Just brought myself a Mk 1 vRS, not planning on doing anything to the engine yet as its a step up from 75 bhp to 130 so i need to get used to it.

Basically im asking, what sorta things would you recommend i start with?

I know we all want the low suspension and things but i gotta keep the cost down on insurance so im not planning on lowering till this time next year when i get another years no claims (fingers crossed).

What would y'all start with?

PD160 intake + pannel filter.

If you find a cheep PD160 intake let me know

The front grill is something i wanna sort out. Not a fan of the chrome strip but i dont like the big open mouthed look where the badge should be.

seat surgoens leather retrim

Alloys, front lcr splitter, de badge the rear (i took off the fabia and left the skoda and vrs on the back looks good) New head lights (angel eyes) i really dont know what your taste is, so its up to you. All those things should'nt affect your insurance but DONT HOLD ME TO THAT.

Hi,

I saw a post on here last week where someone had wrapped their grille in matte black carbon (look) film which would be cheap for you to do and looked really good, think he bought it from Ebay.

Another cheap mod would be the LCR Splitter - costs about £25 and is simple to fit.

IMHO I think one of the best mods I have bought for my vRS is the Jabba RARB - there are other ones available but mine transformed the cars handling.

Cheapest of them all though is de-badging the rear?

John
