Warranty

Featured Replies

Does anyone know the length of the warranty on the Fabia? I know it's three years but I can't seem to find a mileage limit anywhere. The reason I ask is that my Fabia is due for it's three year/30,000 mile service. It will certainly be less than 3 years old when it goes in, but I don't want to fall foul of the mileage restriction if the warranty is only 30,000 miles in case they find anything wrong that would be covered by the warranty. I suspect the creaking from the front (either suspension or dogbone mount) will almost certainly be declared 'fair wear and tear' (which is ridiculous on a car of this age and mileage, but that's a whole different topic...).

60,000 miles I believe, so your well under that.

The first two years are unlimited mileage, with the third year limited to 60000 miles.

Thanks!

Yes be very aware of the 'wear and tear' excuse, my alloy wheel corrosion is aparrently due to wear and tear - I always thought the tyres wore and not the wheel itself - or am I expecting too much from the marvellous Skoda customer service team?

Surely the point of a warranty is that it WONT suffer wear and tear during the warranty period?

Nope, it's that it won't exhibit manufacturing defects during the warranty period.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if the car is an import (e.g. imported with a company like Motorpoint) Skoda UK only give 2 years warranty as it wasn't built specifically for the UK market. This is what someone told me a few years ago so it could be wrong.
