Well the furby is gone...long live the furby...or should i say Audi!!

Ive now got a 2006 Audi A4 Avant S line 2ltr diesel Will put some picks up when i get her all cleaned and properly valeted.

Its a much different drive....the furby felt more planted on the front end, where as the A4 seems a bit woolly!! even though its on S line suspension!!....There is an issue with a droning noise from the from right corner which the garage are going to have a look at for me...at first i thought it might have been tyre noise but driving over different surfaces didnt change the noise level!!....plus its having an arm rest fitted No one seems to know why it never had one it the first place!!

But so far its a really nice drive and def has a better more comfortable interior that the furb!!

S-lines never had armrests (only a cost option). Enjoy the car they are v nice.

The front end woolleyness will be down to the fact that b5-b7 A4 engines predominately hang quite a bit forward of the front axle. Yours a fwd or a Q ?

How much are they charging for the armrest ? It's a easy job to fit a new one and they can be bought in kits.

Yep, as said, the armrest wasn't std on the S-Line, only on the SE IIRC.

About the wolliness - what tyre size/make/model are fitted, and pressures?

Its a front wheel drive with 235/40/R18.....its also suffering with a droning noise from the front right hand corner with a slight knock, not sure if its a wheel bearing. Got the arm rest from ebay for £140 and the garage are going to fit it FOC, they are also doing a belt change as part of the deal....But so far its very nice

I know a lot of people on here say it's daft spending the extra money on an A4 compared to getting an Octy. But the inside of the A4 is so worth the extra money

I took two petrol and two smokey octy RS's out for test drives and i have to say that i was most unimpressed!! :( And thats the motor i really wanted as well !!...the inside of them was woeful and the drive very uninspired. The inside if the A4 is deff a much better place to sit

Auroan.....you have a pic of yours with the Cupra splitter on ? Was thinking of getting one myself after having one on the Fab RS but havent seen one on an Avant.
