Very very nice!

Did you paint the brake calipers... they look brighter green than usual?

The old-skool badge goes well with the black and white colour scheme

as above mate looks nice with the black and white theme, but i would remove the rub strips off the front doors to match the backs or put some on the back to match the fronts. but again looks well

Very nice!

THX for all yuor comments  !

chicken_eyebrow , I have painted the brake calipers by my own, using Folia Tec's paint. The colour is called Racing Green and in the oryginal looks like this:

The paint is really easy to get via Ebay.

sivrs you're right. I'm actually getting my rear strip painted, because there was a lil' problem with the basic paint. In a few days time they'll be matched with the front ones.

That looks really quite nice. The caliper colour is growing on me, but it all seems to work well. Also, I did a double take on the dash picture. Seeing a left hooker version of my dash seems odd. Thanks for sharing the pics.

I think the bright green on the calipers works really well with the black wheels and white car. Only it would be even better if they were VRS calipers and discs ;)

chicken_eyebrow I'm planning to replace them with 312 mm VRS brakes. It is only a matter of time ;)...

skinnyman so do I. When i look on all British VRS's i have the same feeling :p .

That looks really good. I love the candy white with black wheels. Works really well. Looks much nicer than the fat/ugly new Octavias.

Any plans for making it go faster?

I guess it has the 100bhp TDi PD engine, so you probably enjoy the fuel economy. It would look even better if you lowered it!

I hope they keep making the Mk1 Octavia for another 14 years.

I see they've started calling the Mk1 "Drive +" instead of "Tour" in Austria now. Seems like quite a random name!

Very nice indeed!

So I'm not the only one sporting a Favorit badge :D

Bodge I'm planning to tune it up to 180bhp just after my 2-years manufacturer warranty ends. This will bring some more mods in the suspention and brakes of course :).

Rob to be honest...it was your car who inspired me to mod my grill with Skoda Favorit badge and black gloss painting. Great car Mate! I have downloaded lots of photos of it ;)...

MODS UPDATE: When I've changed my seats into leather VRS version, there was the heating of seats missing. Now it is working well with the original switch on the dash :).

Wow, nice! Did that take a lot of work to install?

Wow, nice! Did that take a lot of work to install?

Rob, approx. 8 hours (4 afternoons) without any electrical equipment. I've used only knife, saw and scissors :).

Unfortunately the original Audi cover is higher and wider than Octy's clocks cover (have a look at the image attached and compare it with my photos). So i need to cut of the upper part (fuel & temp) and approx 1,5-2 cm of the back and side left and right tubes, to put them into Octy. This is made of plastic so it's not a problem.

When I've fit the cover, i've struggled with the knobs (these ones which controls the dailymeter and car clock). They're installed wider and a little higher in Audi .

My idea Was to cut Octy's knobs in half (to hide them under the tubes) and link them with these orginal from Audi. The one which controls the car clock ,works on the spin, so i've link them with the strong elastic tape. The are quite close to each other and working well. The other one (dailymeter) works in vertical directions (only up and down), so i've decided to installed a kind of a lever to Audi's knob which presses the Octy's knob. Of course it is hide udner the tube as well.

When the mod was finished, i've changed the indicators and put all things together.

The costs: Audi clocks, Octavia Clocks, my free time B).
