My fuel flap hasn't been closing too well lately and the last time I filled up it wouldn't close. I had a search and found some old threads and concluded the cable had come disconnected. It's harder to get to on the estate but after removing the filler flap I managed to connect the cable back together but I can't see it staying put too long!!

What's best to use to make sure it stays together?

i just shoved mine back in place when mine went about 2 months ago aint come lose yet!

that's what I was hoping, but I touched it when I was putting the carpet back and it sprung out!! I put it back again but I can't see it staying like it for long I've left the parcel blind support out for now to allow access!

Mines been out a few times, just be gentle with the lever and don't yank it when opening. I've been doing this and its not been out for about 6months+.

This happened to my car EVERY time I filled up.

So i used some super glue on the plastic connector part, and it's been fine ever since
